Considering a Titan as your next pickup truck? Well, you have a choice to make! The 2020 Nissan Titan is a compelling option that arrived with some significant changes. Nissan upgraded the transmission to a nine-speed, which improved both horsepower and torque. Outside the truck, it added a new grille, front bumper, headlamp design, taillamp design and taillamp plaques. Nissan also redesigned the interior for better utility and convenience, and it updated its driver assistance technologies to make it unparalleled in the class. So, how do you top that? With the 2021 Nissan Titan now available at Ancira Nissan. The 2021 model has all of those fantastic changes along with minor refinement and expansion to both the standard and available equipment. Let us compare the 2021 Nissan Titan vs 2020 Nissan Titan!
Cab and bed options did not change much since the 2020 Nissan Titan. Nissan offers a crew cab, which is by far the most popular cab style on the market, and a king cab, which is what some other automakers call a double cab. Both are four-door cabs with the main difference being that the crew has four full-size doors and the king has rear half-size rear opening doors. If you prefer a two-door regular cab, Nissan offers this option as well. Nissan also offers three bed sizes. The crew is paired with a 5.6-foot bed. The king is paired with a 6.5-foot bed, and the regular is paired with an 8-foot bed. Base equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels and heated mirrors. Options include 20-inch wheels, keyless entry, LED headlamps, tow mirrors, two hooks, a cargo tie-down system, a remote locking tailgate and running boards.
As with the 2020 Nissan Titan, the regular cab seats up to three, and the king and crew seat up to six. The front row is similar across all three rows offering nearly 42 inches of legroom and 41 inches of headroom. Rear roominess is where you will have to make a choice. The king offers about 39 inches of headroom and about 25 inches of legroom. The crew is more spacious offering about 40 inches of headroom and 39 inches of legroom. Base equipment includes an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, dual USB ports and a six-speaker satellite radio system. Options include dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, a 9-inch touchscreen with navigation, extra USB ports and leather upholstery.
Nissan offers a single engine across the entire Titan lineup: a 5.6-liter V8 that makes 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. In all cases, the V8 engine is married to a nine-speed automatic transmission. In the standard configuration, the nine-speed distributes power to the rear wheels, but at all trim levels, you have the option of four-wheel drive. The crew cab is available in all configurations at all trim levels. The king cab is limited to the S, SV and Pro-4X, and the regular is limited to the base model. Your exact capacities will depend on the various choices you make, but the Titan can tow as much as 9,400 pounds and haul as much as 1,699 pounds.
